Why aren't all the local dams in WM running micro-hydroelectric generators? Any thoughts or ideas on this?

I don't know! The township has plenty of waterways throughout, especially behind all of the municipal buildings. This would be an easy retrofit and could save tax payers millions! Let's make it happen.

So what happened at Green Fest? This is a terrific idea, sure seems like this should be actioned. Who is right source for creating a business plan for the micro-hydro energy systems for the dams?

Does anyone know who the chairperson is for West Milford's Sustainable Community effort? This is the program to achieve certification under the Sustainable Jersey program? I am a member of the Vernon Rotary Club and I'd like to invite that person to speak before our club. One of our members is Vernon's mayor and there are a number of Vernon committee members that are Rotarians as well. Kudos to West Milford on embarking on this process. I think it sends a great message to the community that you are serious about the sustainable lifestyle.
