Greetings! There is a lot of cleaning up to do in the garden before planting season. Many of you have time to help when I’m not around so I’ve put together a list of things that need to be done. I’ll be updating the list as new projects come up and current projects are completed. When working in the garden please remember to bring work gloves and water. Also, there is no bathroom at the garden; the closest public bathroom is at the library. Thank you in advance for all of your help! • Weed the walkways between plots and around the garden perimeter – try to get up as much of the roots as possible • Pick up brush in the back and side fields and put it in the already started brush piles • Move the old compost pile (just outside the back gate) to the new compost area (to the left side of the back field – in front of the giant evergreen tree) • Weed around the outside of the fence – be careful of the raspberry bushes behind the garden where the strawberry mounds are. • Weed around the trees in the garden • Remove the rocks in front of the front gate – we’re going to level that area out
