Robin 6 posts May 29, 2008 3:39 PM	Native Medicinal Plants and other Wild Green Medicines Garden 2008 Schedule for Maintaining the Garden - Please sign up for 1 or more weeks of Watering and Weeding the Garden as it grows this year! What’s needed: approximately 30-45 minutes to water and weed the beds and then a few minutes at the end of your week to post on the Medicinal Garden message board what got done, and anything you noticed that needs doing, to help the person who’s following you. (Guidance is available, if needed, for web posting). Depending on the weather, 3x per week seemed to be about average last year. There are rain barrels and buckets for watering and some small hand tools for weeding on site. Extreme conditions could require more visits. You will receive a map of the garden that clearly shows the beds and the paths, and as the season goes on, we’ll post color photos online of which plants are the wild medicines. We’ll also post the list of volunteers. If you see an opening you can fill, please do. Earlier in the season, there’s more weeding, later, more watering. THANK YOU!!! These are marked with signs by the maple tree in the north corner of the garden. Robin 13 posts Jun 10, 2008 8:20 PM	Water for the garden: Bob, aka, the Stickman, has said he'd deliver water 2x weekly this season, as needed. I'm following up to see if that will be happening regularly. If there is no water in the barrels and it is your week to care for the garden, please use the buckets and go to Mary's house for water. It's across Clinton Road, one house to the left of the big house right across from the garden. The spigot is on the right side of her house. If anyone isn't clear on this instruction, let me know and I'll show you where the water spigot is. Thanks. Green Blessings, Robin
Robin 17 posts Jun 12, 2008 12:26 PM	PLEASE HELP I'm away Friday the 13th -Friday the 20th and the garden is so in need of regular watering. If you don't have time to weed and can water everything that would mean so much...and how beautiful it is, but we're losing some plants to lack of water in the intense sun, yes, even with so much rain. PLEASE someone take on this week!!! If you can't take the whole week, come when you can and post that you're doing so. THANK YOU, green blessings, Robin

We were not able to finish in the back. I hope you can get help on such short notice. Monica and Sofia

My best healing wishes to your family member who isn't well and thank you so much for taking the time to tell me you can't complete this week. I hope that you will be able to return to water and tend the garden another time later in the season. yes, the plants get really really dry in this weather on that sunny hilltop. Watering every day would not be too much! Can anyone out there pick up the rest of this week??? If so, please let me know.
